Improving Nutrition Intake through A Better Diet

Eating habit is formed while you are growing up. If someone is used to have junk food for lunch, it will be hard for him to change his perspective toward harmful substance contained in junk food. But changes in nutrition intake can still be made little by little. Perhaps, knowing the risks of unhealthy eating in advance doesn’t do anything for you, because disease like kidney disease hasn’t happened yet. These are some small steps which you can take.

1. Recognize your habit
Habit is a hard thing to change, but this step can help you make, at least, a small change. You can start recognizing eating habit by as asking these questions: how many fruits and vegetables you have in a day? Have you had your daily calcium? After answering those type of questions, you will know what kind of vitamins you’ve been consuming, and whether or not it is healthy.

2. Track the food intake
Keeping track of your food intake helps you figure out the kind of nutrition that enters your body. Write down every food and drink you have yesterday and today. Don't worry, you will be glad after doing this! The record helps you assess your eating habit. From what you have written, you can learn which food and drink that you need to cut off completely.

3. See a dietitian
You are the best source of help for yourself, but there is always someone who knows better about such topic, a dietitian. You may know how to keep track of your food and cutting the bad ones out, but a dietitian knows better than that. A dietitian will give you special diet plans that suitable for your body, especially if you have health issues, so the whole process will be safe.
